What is the Broadway Optimist Club?

We are part of a association of more than 3000 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids.” Optimist Clubs conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth.

With their upbeat attitude, optimist Club members help empower young people to the best they can be. Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 services projects and serve well over six million young people.

What we do

Optimist Clubs are dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids” and do their part through community service programs.

Optimist International officially sponsors several International Programs: The Childhood Cancer Campaign, Internet Safety, the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship and the organization’s scholarship contest (Essay Contest, Oratorical Contest and Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing). In addition, Optimist International encourages involvement in several other community activities:

Optimists conduct 65,000 community service projects each year, spending $78 million in their communities. Annually, six million kids are positively affected by Optimist programs.

Each year the organization awards unique, innovative and well-run community service projects through the Community Projects Awards(CPA) program.
